Ted Gerhardt |
Ted is the senior member in the experience department at Distributors Printing Services. He has been in printing for over 60 years! After graduating from Milwaukee's Boy’s Tech school in 1951, Ted moved into the world of printing at Milprint and remained there until they closed their letterpress department in 1955. He then moved to Racine, WI and began work at Commercial Press and then moved to Service Printing. He stayed with that same company through several ownership changes from International Business Forms, to Arvey Printing Corp and came on-board at Distributors when Arvey closed it’s doors. |
For Distributors Printing, Ted is currently a letterpress operator. As an interesting side note, Ted has worked with fellow Distributors employee, Terry Rigby since, as Ted says, "Terry was a little kid!" He also recalls being in the same printing classes with Jack Leyer (Distributors' Linotype Operator) back in the early 1950’s! |
In his spare time, Ted enjoys kicking back and relaxing and enjoying an occasional Wisconsin brew with friends and family. |
